This post 1960 NW Persian urban carpet shows a cream field centralized by a lobe-stepped rust medallion with a focal near black radiating palmette octogramme sub-medallion. Palmettes with spiky petals in the field corners, more tilted palmettes and barbed leaves flow about. Khaki border with delicate semi-circular fan palmettes alternating with petal palmettes. Corners with tilted palmettes enclosing tulips Well-woven on cotton foundation. Good condition.
