This totally iconic NW Persian village carpet shows a navy octogramme medallion with four internal escutcheon pendants, and centred by a salmon octogramme sub-medallion, with large ragged palmette pendants and on a red field decorated with stylized leave and flowers. Leaf-filled ecru corners with salmon and green projections. Navy strip style main border with palmettes and rosettes in the Turkish Ghiordes style. Moderate and solid weave., cotton foundation. Good condition. Natural dyes.
