Vases and footed dishes decorate the sand field of this unusually designed, finely woven urban silk. Additional vases appear in the doubly pendanted, near black cusped medallion and in the honey gold adjoint corners with their strong strapwork edgings. Vases in the near black cartouche main border, and in the minors as well. Signed in the outer top end border. Central Persian, from the Shi’ite religious centre. Recent. Rasht silk pile and foundation. As new condition.
