This finely woven, all silk carpet shows a niche-shaped straw field with a vase supporting a medallion composed of irises and other flowering plants. Leafy shrubs, flowers, various varieties of perching birds, and quadrupeds including deer densely occupy the field. The near-black spandrels show pairs of phoenixes, and still more birds and deer fill the main border.
