The lightly pinched pointed red niche field of this well-woven Central Persian town rug is based on a black amphora vase exuberantly developing full-face garden flowers, set beneath a navy arabesque cartouche and with a vasiform navy pendant above. A flower chain outlines the curving part of the niche and above are medium blue spandrels with vigourous flowers. Navy border of posy triples. Light abrash along the bottom of the field. Good condition.
