The ivory field of this rustic Caucasian Shirvan scatter shows a broad, faceted, floating niche arch above a close configuration of colourful ashiks. Feathery trees decorate the spandrels and an octagon accents the top of the niche. The main near black border shows an X pattern and the minors are both in reversing S’s. Well-woven on wool. Good condition.
