This finely woven, central Persian Revival Period city carpet presents an abrashed rust madder field decorated with four rows, each of six double palmette, dumb bell motives in navy, ecru and burnt mustard.Corner vases in the navy main border with rosettes, broken stems and serrated ovoid leaves. A very interesting carpet, with a velvety short pile of Manchester-spun wool. Cotton foundation, good condition.
