The straw-sand field shows a nine pole allover one-way pattern of attached bug palmettes, adapted from 17th century Transylvanian archetypes. The originals show fewer pole and relatively larger palmette motives. Straw sand border of symmetric, bitonal oak leaves. Red and beige-tan accents overall. An unusual carpet with impeccable design lineage. Cotton foundation, medium weave. Good condition.
