This northern Indian city carpet shows a salmon field with two-tone rough palmettes along both sides and ends. Six additional ragged palmettes have angle brackets. Persianate, but not Persian design. Sandy border with “fish” leaves and outlined petal palmettes, latter connected by an arcing vine. Expansive light, non-pastel, palette. Versatile size. Cotton foundation.
