A typically overscale four palmette pattern is in the desirable Sultanabad style, with secondary tilted palmettes, barbed sickle connecting leaves and lesser flowers, on the straw/sand field. Detail tones of light green, teal, red and rust, with no saturated colours. Teal border with two types of reversing palmettes, and two types of flowing serrated or barbed acanthus leaves. An attractive modern interpretation of an iconic type. Medium weave on cotton. As new condition.
