This east Caucasian kellegi hosts a paneled light,medium and dark blue, and red field with five eight pointed “Lesghi stars” in cream, green, red and dark blue, with attendant minor stars, flowers and other small geometric devices .Colourful ivory border with slightly squared “Crab” palmettes with four bud “claws” each./Blue octagon and rosette minors. Good condition with macramé braided endweaves intact, medium symmetric knotting and shorter-clipped pile. Natural dye palette with excellent range of blues.
