This west Persian tribal kellegi (long rug) shows three offset columns of identical vases and flowers, with small supporting rosette filling in..Red corners with vases. Ecru main border with a faceted meander sand attached palmettes in the south Persian manner. Woven on a flat (ground) loom. Wool foundation, medium weave. Popular design with a textile source. Slight, uneven reduction at one ends not affecting important design elements.
