This well-woven piece is a characteriustic example of the “Covered ground" SE Persian Kerman Interwar style with its botehs in a close variation of 19th century Kashmir shawls. You could also term it “Shawl style". Natural dyes with navy, various other blues, teal, ecru, sand and ivory. The well-decorated border features amoeboid botehs with long flagellant tails. On cotton. This type of Kerman is out of fashion presently and that makes it a real bargain. Psychedelic pattern!
