This good condition, central Persian city rug, with a fine weave and velvety surface, emanates from the famed “Mohtasham†atelier in Kashan. A pale teal sub-medallion is set on the axially extended octogramme rust medallion which, in turn, focuses the navy sub-field with a décor of bell flowers, stiff stems, polychrome rosettes and ragged palmettes. Cream extended corners with rust cores. Navy border of inward-pointing cypress-like palmettes and budding plants. Good condition.
