Possibly from a chair back or firescreen, this antique piece shows an oval with two hounds attacking a beaver (?), under a hick trunked , leafy tree, with smaller trees in the middle ground; misty building on a hill in the distance. Encompassing nested oval frame and surrounding floral wreath, with birds, shells and acanthus volutes. Lower floral swag. Khaki ground, with details in straw, cream, slate and green. In the 18th century style.
