This NW Persian rustic runner (kenare) features an ecru field dominated by a five section pole medallion with octogrammes and hexagons in red, green asnd eggshell, with eight attached bold volutes. Red strip-style border with slanted, serrated leaves and rosettes in a characteristic Azerbaijani manner. Slightest end reduction. Moderate weave. Unusual tonality and format in a traditional Persian “zar” (= 1 metre) width. Good condition.
